Fun Gig at Port Imperial (Son Cubano) with Mark Peterson and Ron Thompson

Closed out a long string of recent gigs this week with Big Funk at the Sweet Sounds Downtown in Westfield (I will be appearing there again with one of my favorites, International Jazz Flute star Ali Ryerson with Mark Egan and Mike DeMicco in August) and at the Port Imperial Jazz Series before heading back into the pit to close out the couple of month super busy run.

Port Imperial has a super cool little Thursday night Jazz series in the summer with 3 Groups Performing every Thursday, Vic Juris, Kate Baker, Mark Skanga among the great musicians on the bill. I had the pleasure to perform with Ron Thompson and Mark Peterson. Its an amazing location riverfront with stunning views of the Manhattan skyline with amazing food and drink outdoors available at Son Cubano. My good friend Kath Oliger is involved with this series and want to very kindly thank her for having us on it. Buddy and supporter Tom Mulligan made the scene again, that makes 3 out of the last 5 public non Bway gigs. Thank you Tom!

Hard Rock Cafe Atlantic City with Howard Paul/Tom Scott

super fun gig with legendary musician Tom Scott

always an honor to perform with Howard Paul !! this time the opening of the new Hard Rock Cafe in Atlantic City, NJ, with Jazz legend Tom Scott and renowned bassist and keyboardist, Mark Peterson and Ron Thompson

Program Notes:
Isbjerg, Danish for iceberg comes from both the imagery of what it might be like to tour icy waters in an old wooden boat and how small one must feel when, out of the mist, an iceberg appears, as well as the inspiration of our, then, 3 year old, Berg, glistening endlessly on the “white” keys of the marimba…
